| The simplest way to break up the range of mountain bikes that we stock is to split them into hardtails (suspension at the front only) and full suspension.
We offer hardtails from both Trek and Gary Fisher. The Trek range starts at £300 with the 4000 series. The 4000 series features aluminium frames with a good starter suspension fork. The 6000 series is aimed at the enthusiast. The 8000 series is designed as the racer's choice using the lightest aluminium frame with more race oriented geometry. The Fisher range features the 'Genesis Geometry' designed to position the rider further back on the bike.
We offer full suspension bikes from Trek, again these can be split into three types.
The first is the cross country or light trail bike. This series is called the 'Top Fuel', designed to allow you to do everything that you could do on you hardtail only with more comfort and traction/control, resulting in more speed. These bikes feature 90mm of travel on the rear and 100mm of travel on the front.
The second is the trail or all day enduro bikes. This second series is the 'Fuel EX', designed around more travel to allow either a more aggressive trail ride or more comfort over an all day epic. This year's Fuel EX features 120mm of rear travel with 130mm of front travel
The third is the light freeride or all-mountain bike which Trek call the 'Remedy'. Using the same technology as the Fuel EX but taking the travel up to 150mm on the rear and 160mm on the front. They also feature beefed up wheels and kit making them ideal for those wanting to take a bike to the limits of mountain riding.
If you see anything you like give us a call or pop in to the shop so we can help you find the perfect bike.
